Revived, with gusto!

Greetings my patient readers,

I thank you kindly for your infinite patience in keeping up with the creative efforts for She Will Become. It has been a long twenty years of slogging through writer's block but finally, the novel has been revived and with gusto!

For the last two years I let SWB sit idly by the side while I re-learned and reinvented myself as a storyteller through working on a co-written project with my best friend. While an utter joy, that other project has been mutually tucked away to be returned to at some point in the near future so that each of us could focus on our solo work.

Two months ago I sat down to re-examine SWB and realized it needed some massive overhauling. The original text, while well written, was rather... meandering and ill-focused. With a fresh eye to story telling I dismantled the entire 178 page manuscript, rearranged certain elements and scenes, redesigned the castle and surrounding town layout, and finally put it all back together into something more cohesive, more linear, and more directed. The manuscript is now inching its way toward 350 pages, the time since used to churn out all of the individual plot pieces I'd had in mind the entire time to weave what I hope is an enchanting, intriguing, heart warming and breaking tale of love, loss, friendship, and emotional discovery, development, and progress.

I have set a goal of completing the writing for the initial draft by Spring of 2014, and to have it through the editing stages and ready for submission for publication by Fall of 2014. After 20 years of struggling with what I now lovingly call my "magnum opus" of a novel I am elated to have brought it so close to completion.

In order to facilitate to publishing process and garner a waiting reading audience with which to tantalize any prospective publisher (should I not choose to self-publish) I have posted the first twelve chapters (approximately 50 pages) for your enjoyment, accessible by clicking the Teaser Chapters link at the top of the page. I recognize that some of you may have already sampled of these chapters but I encourage you to revisit them now that they have gone through another round of rigorous editing. I also encourage all of you to comment and provide feedback at any point and on any chapter!

If anyone is interested in becoming a beta reader - you'll get a full copy of the manuscript to read pre-publication to help in the editing stages - please let me know! You may comment here or on any chapter of the book itself, and very soon I will be setting up an email address and/or sign up list to make it an official offer.

Thank you again dear readers!
